How many have you lost to cancer? Just about EVERYONE can give you at least one name.

I lost my grandmother to cancer. I was in high-school at the time. I couldn't concentrate, and often skipped classes to walk up to the hospital to see her. The school administrators didn't feel right punishing me.

This shirt is raising money for the American Cancer Society. They help cancer victims and their families cope.

Imagine: You're 18 and join the military with hopes for learning leadership skills and money for college. While in service, you are severly injured during a conflict. You lose your legs. Once home, you are confined to a wheelchair for life, and cannot do any of the things you had dreamed.

The Disabled American Veterans organization helps individuals cope with this drastic change.

I feel obligated to help.......they chose to serve for me(us), gave up their way of life for me(us).

If only I could give even more than I already do. This shirt is to boost that effort.

The Worldwide Fund for Nature works on so many of the issues that are important to me....environmental concerns,sustainable agriculture, business accountability, forests, water pollution, species decline....

They are also very careful with money raised....only 6% for administration, 11% for fundraising, and the remaining 83% goes to their programs!

Fortunately, the benefits of shopping locally are being promoted in the mainstream now.But, if this is to truly become mainstream, it would mean consuming locally grown products.

Perhaps you don't realize, but the dominate meat products found in the grocery stores cannot live on many of those local family farms.....they aren't hardy enough!

They have been developed to grow fast and large on grain in climate controlled factories. With this large-scale supply flooding the markets country-wide, the standard hardy barnyard breeds have declined....even disappeared!

The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy is dedicated to promoting the preservation of the variety of livestock that once flourished in America.

I am a proud supporting member. Small farmers around the country are working diligently to save many breeds that are nearly gone.
