Tomatoes

Amish Paste- This plum tomato is extra meaty with few seeds...making it great for sauce making. The flavor is intense, and only intensifies in sauces! Sprawling indeterminate plant with large yields.

Bradley- Disease resistant compact plants. The fruits are dark pink with a nice balance of sweet and tangy. This is a semi-determinate variety that ripens a lot in a short time span. Good for market gardeners.

Brandywine- This one has a huge following, probably because of it's consistent performance in taste tests. Large pink fruits. Indeterminate.

Great White- Large WHITE beefsteak that has a mild and sweet flavor. Indeterminate.

Hawaiian Pineapple- This is a large orange beefsteak tomato that averages 1 lb. each. It has a rich, sweet, pineapple flavor. Unique. Indeterminate.

Health Kick- This disease resistant plant gives fruit that are shaped like Roma tomatoes and have a higher than average lycopene content (up to 50% more!).

Italian Oxheart - I'm growing this one on contract per the request of an Italian restaurant owner. The seeds are straight from Italy, and the fruit supposedly have excellent flavor with very small seed cavities--perfect for sauces!

Italian Tree- This is an extra-large plant that needs to be staked or trellised! I mean really big! It also means you'll need to break out the bushel baskets, because this one can produce large yields of 1-2 lb fruits that have that great old fashioned tomato flavor. Indeterminate.

Juliet- It was love at first sight....my brother found this one in our uncle's garden and was quite impressed. It is a disease resistant and prolific hybrid plant. The fruits are larger than cherry tomatoes, but smaller than plum. Grows in clusters that have a decent shelf life. Indeterminate

Kellogg's Breakfast- Large crack-resistant orange tomato with a small core. Meaty and thin skinned with a sweet/tangy flavor. Indeterminate.

Matt's Wild Cherry-Large, reaching plant that should be staked. It is a prolific producer of sweet cherry tomatoes that are perfect for salads. Indeterminate.

Mortgage Lifter- This one has quite a following too. Maybe it has to do with the story that comes with it...in a nutshell: the man that developed the variety called it the Mortgage Lifter because he sold the plants for a dollar each during the 1940's and paid off his mortgage within 6 years because the plant was so popular. The large beefsteak tomatoes have good flavor, color and are steady producers. Indeterminate

Persimmon- Large golden orange fruits that have absolutely memorable flavor! I discovered this one ten years ago, and it has remained my favorite. Indeterminate

Polish Linguisa- This plum tomato has superb flavor and is meaty. Great for sauces or fresh. 3-4" fruits. Indeterminate

Red Fig- This one has been in use since the 1800's. 1-2" red pear shaped fruit that are great for snacking. Indeterminate

Siberia- Good for our cooler climate here in the north. This is a determinate variety that produces clusters of 4 oz. fruits. Good for market gardeners.
